After breakfast we departure to the east side of Hungary, our fist station is Eger. It is a beautiful city which is located near the Bükk Mountains and Mátra.
After the arrival short walk in the city centre, where we visit the second biggest church of Hungary, it is main cathedral and it was built in classicist style. We also visit the library of the lyceum, which was built in the 18. century and we can enjoy from 53 meter high the amazing panorama of the city.
After lunch we visit the castle of Eger. Castle of Eger was very important in the 16. century when in the heroically struggle against the Turkey Istvan Dobó constable won, even if the Turkey were in preponderance.
In the territory of the castle is the gothic Episcopal Palace, where we can get acquainted with the story of the castle, we also visit the grave of Istvan Dobó. As we gat closer to the castle we can enjoy the view of Eger. By walking down from the castle we visit the Turkish minaret which was built in the 16. century, this is the minaret of Europe which is located in the “most north point” of Europe.
Our destination is the valley of Szépasszony, where we have possibility to wine tasting.
Arrival back to the hotel in the early evening hours.
